Q. What is your cancellation policy?A. We know that your time is valuable and ours is too. Out of respect for our practitioners and our other clients, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment. Missed appointments or those cancelled without 24 hours notice will incur a fee equal to the total amount of the reserved service.

Q. You have two entrances; how will I know which door to use?A. That is correct. We have two treatment rooms on the upper level and two on the lower level. If your appointment is on the lower level you will enter at the side door off of Main Street. If your appointment is on the main floor, you will enter through the main door off of Lyall Ave. Your reminder message will direct you to the correct entrance. As well, there is signage on the premises to direct you to your entrance.

Q. Do you provide insurance receipts?A: Yes, all our Massage Therapy + TCM/Acupuncture providers are Regulated Health Professionals. You will be issued a receipt detailing the pertinent information your insurance provider will need for reimbursement. All beauty services with Maija are not eligible for insurance receipts.

Q. Do you offer direct billing?A. We are exploring this option but at the moment we do not offer direct billing.

Q. Where should I park?A. We are located in a residential neighbourhood with free parking on side streets such as Lyall Ave, Kimberly Ave, or Walter street. There is also metered parking available on Main Street. Please DO NOT park in the private lot behind the building.

Q. How early should I arrive for my appointment?A. Please have all required forms completed beforehand and aim to arrive just a few minutes before your scheduled time. There is no waiting room on our lower level so we respectfully ask you to not enter more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment time to avoid congestion in our small space.

Q. Should I leave a tip?A. No, tipping is not necessary or expected at Metta. As independent practitioners in a small business, we greatly appreciate word-of-mouth referrals + Google reviews!

Q. How far in advance should I book?A. Often our schedule is booked up days or weeks in advance and at other times we may have same-day availability. We highly recommend booking your sessions in advance as much as possible to ensure you get the time and practitioner of your choosing.

Q. What if I can’t find an appointment?A. The booking site has a waitlist option below the calendar where you can add your name. In the event that an appointment becomes available, we will contact you to offer you the spot. Alternatively, consider booking in with another therapist. At Metta, we work as a collective to provide shared care to our community of clients.

Q. What methods of payment do you take?A. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Debit and E-transfer. Payment will be received after completion of your treatment. We do accept cash although we are not able to provide change so the amount must be exact.
